I consume a lot of media.  I thought it might be fun to write about it some, too.

Someone asked about the name of the blog**, to which I say:

** This is a trick I learned from teaching: if you want to say something, but the best way to phrase it is as a response to a question (because otherwise it sounds awkward or pretentious or unmotivated), then why let the fact that no one has actually asked the question get in your way?
